Asking questions in Te Reo.

  We have been learning how to ask questions in Te Reo. The question was :  E aha ana koe? This means: What are you doing? Then we had to be able to answer that question several times using different Te Reo verbs. Here is my work.

Handwriting Term 1 2021

  Here is my handwriting sample. I think that I am good at doing tidy writing I need to work on developing slope.

Chocolate

  This writing task was about a language experience. Our teachers brought different kinds of chocolate to school and we got to eat it! We tried white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel chocolate and pink chocolate. We could write about it in any way we liked but our teachers hoped we would use lots of describing language and our senses.                         Chocolate  It feels like a smooth rock on a beach. I couldn't believe how good it was. The creamy chocolate melted in my mouth. It was so delicious. The chocolate smelt like fresh creamy milk.    It looks like frozen cold milk. My favourite is definitely the creamy white chocolate. But they are both so delicious. Oh my goodness that was so yum. I would love to have the chocolates again.                ...

Reading Week 10 Term 1 2021

  This week for reading we had to complete a cloze activity after we read a story about chocolate. Here is my work: Emerald Week 10 Term 1 2021 SJ 2.3.1998 A Cup of Koko. Complete the cloze activity below which describes what a drink of  koko smells and tastes like :   Use the following words to fill in the spaces:   (If you need help, look on pages 39 and 40 for clues). When cocoa beans are being roasted they get darker and darker and the delicious,   chocolatey  smell gets  stronger.  A mug of thick, creamy, hot koko is just what Annie needs.    

Reading Week 9 Term 1 2021 All Groups

  This week for reading we had to focus on being able to find adverbs in a story and recognise what kind of adverb they were. Here is my work:

  The goal of this writing activity was to retell what our cicada hunt around the school was like. We had to remember to use sequencing adverbs at the beginning of our paragraphs.
