 My speech topic is Native trees. I picked this topic because it is important for NZ to look after. When I presented my speech I felt good. What I did well was my volume was good. What I could have done better was my eye contact. My Speech: Why is it important to look after the Native Trees?  Native trees are trees that only grow in New Zealand. They are special to New Zealand such as the Kauri tree. Now please listen to my three reasons about why we should look after our native trees. My first reason is that native trees help us breathe. If all the trees in the world died then everyone in the world would die because we would have no oxygen and we would not be able to breathe. Trees produce oxygen. The trees absorb carbon dioxide then the trees create oxygen with sunlight and water.   This week we carried on with our ‘insect’ topic for reading I made honey biscuits, writing we did similes about insects, and for maths we practised basic facts and worked on writing a variety of equations which would have a certain number for the answer.
