My speech topic is Native trees. I picked this topic because it is important for NZ to look after. When I presented my speech I felt good. What I did well was my volume was good. What I could have done better was my eye contact. My Speech: Why is it important to look after the Native Trees? Native trees are trees that only grow in New Zealand. They are special to New Zealand such as the Kauri tree. Now please listen to my three reasons about why we should look after our native trees. My first reason is that native trees help us breathe. If all the trees in the world died then everyone in the world would die because we would have no oxygen and we would not be able to breathe. Trees produce oxygen. The trees absorb carbon dioxide then the trees create oxygen with sunlight and water. On Friday, we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation. This week Mrs Craig Read the book: One for you and two for me. It was about the importance of friendship and sharing thing fairly. I chose to make something that will remind bear and weasel what friendship is. Here is my work.
